Traditionally, law students take what is known as a "bar trip" after having taken the bar exam sometime in July and before starting work in the fall.
Ikuko and I decided it would be a good opportunity to do a driving tour of the United States. Ikuko worked hard to plan everything while I studied for
the bar exam from late May through early July. The trip was a great success and a fantastic journey for us both. We spent 6 weeks on the road, drove
nearly 12,000 miles and visited 39 of the 48 contiguous states. Soon after leaving we decided it might be fun to use the web site to update family
and friends as to where we were. But what began as an afterthought quickly developed into a fun way of documenting the trip. Click on the links below
